Gorges du Verdon – Take Two

Rosie Andre

We came back to the Gorges du Verdon and I am so glad that we did! It was worth the drive to be able to go on a boat down the beautiful gorges. It was a stunning hot day in July when we went. It was super busy, but I think that added to the fun of it all.

I hired a pedalo boat with my husband and friend Karen for 2 hours. It was so much fun! We went all the way to the end then back again. We all went for several swims throughout the trip, took lots of photographs and just generally had a really lovely time.

It was great fun watching the brave (daring & silly) people jumping off the rocks into the beautiful blue waters. Some of them jumped from really high up, and some even jumped off the bridge, which wasn't allowed. It was also fun to see the good mixture of people on the boats. From groups of teenagers to families and couples etc. There were even several dogs aboard the boats barking all the way down.

I did a short time lapse video of the boats going up and down, so if you want to see that, just click below! For more photographs of the beautiful Gorges du Verdon, keep on reading.
