I went to Paris for a long weekend with my husband to see one of our friends before the big move to the USA. I haven't seen him in over a year so it was really nice to spend some time with him again after so long!
We lived in Paris around 5 years ago for a year so we have already seen all the sights and done all the attractions. Which meant that while we were in Paris, we weren't rushing around trying to see everything.
We arrived in Paris on the Friday evening and went out for Crepes for dinner. I love a savoury Crepe every now and so I enjoyed a duck with goats cheese Crepe which was delicious!
Saturday, we had a chilled morning in the flat then spent a couple of hours wandering around Paris. We started at Jardins du Trocadéro to get the famous view of the Eiffel Tower. Then we crossed the river, around the famous monument and down the Champs de Mars. We then got a Metro to Saint-Michel Notre-Dame and went for lunch at Chipotle. It's a Mexican style American fast-food restaurant serving burritos, nachos and salads. I've got to say that for a fast-food place, it was delicious!
We then walked down to the Notre Dame, we crossed the river and walked along the Seine river bank towards the Louvre. We didn't go into the Louvre, but did enjoy the architecture and took several photos of the iconic pyramids. After enjoying the sunshine in the Jardins des Tuileries for a little while, we headed home for dinner.
I'm going to carry on my Paris adventures in 2 more posts, where Sunday we went to Disneyland and Monday I walked around an area that I haven't visited before. So stay tuned for them!
